A few nights ago, when we went to give our road dog babies their dinner, we found one of them lying motionless in pain on the road.

The watchmen told us that a school bus ran over him, after which a car climbed over him because he couldn’t move and was blocking the parking space on the road.

It was 10PM and our regular vet had closed for the day, we loaded the poor baby into the car and rushed him to critical care, they said he had a few broken bones, but only an X-RAY would depict the real picture.

He stayed the night with us, and in so much pain, no amount of sedatives and pain killers could ease the ordeal for him.

We had hope for him, just a few broken  bones we thought, and it was there that we decided he would be ours, no longer a road baby, but our own at home.

Next morning, our vet ran blood tests, Scans and X-rays, and the poor baby had a broken rib, broken femur bone, broken leg, spinal cord injury and was partially blind.

The pain was intense, letting him go was the only way to help him.

Raamanathan, as we christened him left us that afternoon, the only thing i could give him was a decent burial and a prayer that next life he comes back to me ❤  You didn’t die alone, you have a family and we will always love and remember you.

Im sorry i don’t have any happy photos of you running on the streets, but i want to post these anyways.

What may has to offer …

Rest in peace Chilli. I want you to come back to me, but this time you will be born healthy and happy and never face a hungry day in your life.

I love you.

Long time no blog.

Chilli my dear emancipated one suffered tremendously and had to go.

She is in a far better place, with food, plenty of water and rainbows, green grass and tons of company to play with.

Her tired body is now filled with energy like never before, or so i’d imagine.

Found another little guy on the streets with a group of gypsies. He’s been christened Scooter and is happily at home now 🙂

The little guy is a biter and is being loved and spoilt to bits, by my dog and me of course 🙂

He will be up for adoption in a months time. Vaccinated and dewormed already.

Hope your day has been as productive as mine and a post soon on disciplining a dog.
