Brownie Pup is moving to solid food now.
Our lil bug has started interacting with my brat pack, Coco and Scooty 🙂 They try to impress him and get his attention ALL the time..tee hee ❤
Here is a pic, he has grown, can you tell ? 🙂
Remember the post about the hit and run pups? All the babies got adopted, and we took in the pup who had severe brain damage, a broken neck and jaw, he was totally dis-oriented, bleeding from the nose, lost his vision, and was almost succumbing to his injuries.
Guess what, our darling has recovered, fully, 100%. We are SO happy and Proud of him! He has been named Brownie Pup, our lil champ can now eat liquid food, walk around and interact with my brat pack at home 🙂
All thanks goes to our wonderful vet, and the Reiki that Brownie dear so happily accepted 🙂
We feel blessed!
We found a liter of 5 pups on my road.
Surprising because i thought all the street babies were neutered, at least all the females and the friendly males.
So where did this batch of 5 come from, they seem to be around 2 months old, healthy and huddled together on the pavement.
I found out from the auto-drivers that a family with a GSD dog had mated with a street romeo doggie and had a liter, the family took care of the pups and vaccinated them before deserting them on the pavement and moving away with their own dog.
This morning i woke up with a queasy feeling, asked mum if we could bring the pups home, i know its difficult to find homes for pups that are 2-3 months, most successful adoptions happen when the pups area a month to forty five days of age.
But still..something made me want to bring them up.
When we went we found 2 pups injured, by a hit and run bike, 3 pups were ok and we had the fastest ever adoption, with the kind auto-men and some people i know who came forward to give the babies a better life.
But we lost one and the other is with me now, he has a broken jaw, broken nose, brain tissue damage, please please pray for him. His x-rays are taken, he is on anti-inflammatory drugs, painkillers and sedatives, we are praying for the best for him.
A few nights ago, when we went to give our road dog babies their dinner, we found one of them lying motionless in pain on the road.
The watchmen told us that a school bus ran over him, after which a car climbed over him because he couldn’t move and was blocking the parking space on the road.
It was 10PM and our regular vet had closed for the day, we loaded the poor baby into the car and rushed him to critical care, they said he had a few broken bones, but only an X-RAY would depict the real picture.
He stayed the night with us, and in so much pain, no amount of sedatives and pain killers could ease the ordeal for him.
We had hope for him, just a few broken bones we thought, and it was there that we decided he would be ours, no longer a road baby, but our own at home.
Next morning, our vet ran blood tests, Scans and X-rays, and the poor baby had a broken rib, broken femur bone, broken leg, spinal cord injury and was partially blind.
The pain was intense, letting him go was the only way to help him.
Raamanathan, as we christened him left us that afternoon, the only thing i could give him was a decent burial and a prayer that next life he comes back to me ❤ You didn’t die alone, you have a family and we will always love and remember you.
Im sorry i don’t have any happy photos of you running on the streets, but i want to post these anyways.
